Tricer respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how Tricer collects and processes your personal data.

Due to the unprecedented challenges we are all facing during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, you may experience delays when making information rights requests during the pandemic. Where possible, we ask that you contact us via email.
2. Your privacy
2.1 In the course of our dealings with you, we will collect and process personal information about you. Personal information includes any information allowing us to identify you as an individual, for example, your name, your email address or your telephone number.
2.2 We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will use your personal information in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations that relate to data protection and privacy.

2.4 Our websites and apps are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

3.1 From time to time to we may establish relationships with third parties that will enable you to access the websites or applications of such third parties directly from our own websites or applications. 3.2 Please note that third party websites and applications are not under our control. When you click through to these websites or access these applications you leave the area controlled by us. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any issues arising in connection with the third party's use of your data (including your personal information).
4. The Information We Collect About You
4.1 Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
4.2 Tricer may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which have been grouped together as follows:
- Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, gender and business name and details when applicable.
- Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details. Credit & debit card numbers are encrypted by Shopify Payments and Tricer do not see these details.
- Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from Tricer.
- Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
- Profile Data includes your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
- Usage Data includes information about how you use Tricers website, products and services.
- Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from Tricer and third parties and your communication preferences.
4.3 Tricer also collects personal information when samples are requested, registering on the website (both a Partner or Standard customer account), place an order, respond to a survey or communication such as email, or participate in any other website feature.
4.4 Tricer also collects, uses and shares Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal an identity. For example, Tricer may aggregate data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if Tricer combines or connects Aggregated Data with personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, Tricer treats the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.
4.5 Tricer does not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data (this includes details about race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions or information about health). Tricer does not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
4.6 If you fail to provide personal data and as a result Tricer is not able to perform a contract or enter into a contract with you Tricer may have to cancel the contract. We will notify you if this is the case at the time.
5. How is your Personal Information Collected?
We use different methods to collect data through the following methods:
- Direct interactions. You may give Tricer your data by filling in forms or by corresponding with Tricer by post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes personal data provided when you:
- Apply for or purchase Goods from Tricer.
- Create a Standard Customer or Partner account on the website.
- Subscribe to a Tricer service or publication.
- Request marketing material.
- Enter a competition, promotion or survey.
- Provide Tricer with feedback.
- Automated technologies or interactions. As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. Tricer collects this personal data by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies. Tricer may also receive Technical Data about people if they visit other websites employing Tricers cookies. Please refer to our Cookies policy for more detail.
- Third parties or publicly available sources. Tricer may receive personal data from various third parties and public sources as set out below:
- Technical Data from the following parties:
- analytics providers e.g., Facebook & Google which may be based outside the UK;
- advertising networks e.g., Facebook & Google which may be based outside the UK; and
- search information providers e.g., Facebook & Google which may be based outside the UK.
- Contact, Financial and Transaction Data from providers of technical, payment and delivery services such as Shopify & PayPal.
- Identity and Contact Data from data brokers or aggregators based in the UK.
- Identity and Contact Data from publicly available sources based in the UK.
6. How do we use your Personal Information?
We have set out below the purposes for which we use your personal information. We are also required by law to state a "legal basis for processing", i.e. to tell you on what grounds we are allowed to use your information, and this is also set out below. The legal basis for each purpose is that we have your consent for the use of your personal information, or that we need to use your personal information in order to perform a contract with you, or that the use of your personal information is necessary for our legitimate interests (in which case we will explain what those interests are).

7. Sharing your Personal Data
7.1 We share personal date with third parties to help Tricer use personal Data, as described above. For example, Tricer use Shopify to power the online website--you can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. Tricer also uses Google Analytics to help understand how Tricers customers use the website – you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. 7.2 We may also share your personal data to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information Tricer receive, or to otherwise protect Tricers rights.
7.3 We require all third parties to respect the security of personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. Tricer do not allow third-party service providers to use personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
7.4 We use third parties to carry out certain activities on our behalf that involve the processing of personal information. For example, we may engage third party service providers to fulfil orders, deliver packages, send postal mail, SMS text messages and email, maintain and update our databases of customer details (including the removal of repetitive or incorrect information), analyse data to help us develop, provide and improve our services, provide marketing assistance, process payments and refunds, carry out surveys, provide customer service and handle claims. These third parties have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. We may use the information we receive from third parties to supplement, improve and add to our databases of customer details, and for purposes such as credit checking and fraud prevention.
7.5 We may share information that we hold about you (for example, your email address and information about your purchases) with third parties that also hold your information or have an existing online relationship with you in order to identify you and to enable us to provide you with relevant marketing online. For instance, we may share your information with social media and networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit and Google so that they can identify you as a customer of ours and can tailor the marketing we send you via their sites, applications, and products.
7.6 We may pass your details to third parties (such as Experian) for the purpose of improving the quality and accuracy of our database, suppressing records for deceased people and movers, for appending marketing information and for solvency and credit scoring purposes.
7.7 We may pass your details to third parties for market research purposes and they may then contact you to request that you answer surveys, or to conduct research on our behalf.
7.8 We may pass your details to a tag management provider for the use of the data captured during a visitor's journey through our site to enable functionality, analytics, and marketing communications).
7.9 We may pass personal information to external agencies and organisations (including the police and other law enforcement agencies) for the purpose of preventing and detecting fraud (including fraudulent transactions) and criminal activity. These external agencies may check the information we give them against public and private databases and may keep a record of such checks to use in future security checks. We may also disclose personal information to the police and other law enforcement authorities in connection with the prevention and detection of crime.
7.10 We may pass personal information to our insurers in the event that a claim is made or could be made against us.
7.11 In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, we may disclose personal information held by us to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. If we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party (or subject to a reorganisation within our corporate group), personal information held by us will be one of the transferred assets.
7.12 We may pass your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation (including in connection with a court order), or in order to enforce or apply any agreements we have with or otherwise concerning you (including agreements between you and us (or one or more of our affiliates); or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of our customers, employees or other third parties.
7.13 We may share anonymous or aggregate data (such as aggregated statistics or other anonymised data) with third parties.
8. Data security
8.1 Tricer have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, Tricer limit access to personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process personal data on Tricers instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
8.2 Tricer has put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where Tricer is legally required to do so.
8.3 The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure; this risk is common across the internet and not specific to our services. We cannot guarantee the security of your data (including your personal information) transmitted to our services; any transmission is at your own risk.
8.4 It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computing device. Be sure to sign off and close your browser when you have finished your session. This will help to ensure that others do not access your personal information if you share your computing device or use a computing device in a public place such as a library or internet cafe.
9. Data retention
We are required by law to keep your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which we are using it. The period for which we keep your personal information will be determined by a number of criteria, including the purposes for which we are using the information, the amount and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk from any unauthorised use or disclosure of the information, and our legal and regulatory obligations.
10. Your legal rights
10.1 You have the right to ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide you with a copy of that data;
- Correct any personal information that is inaccurate;
- Remove your personal information where there is no good reason for us to continue to hold that data;
- Temporarily stop using your information if you are questioning our right to use that data;
- Stop using your personal information unless we can demonstrate a valid reason why we need to continue to hold that data e.g. to support a product warranty;
- Stop using your personal information to send you marketing materials such as our catalogue, marketing email, discounts or vouchers;
- Provide you with the personal information that you have provided to us, in a structured and commonly used electronic format, or transmit that information directly to another company if that is technically feasible. This applies where we are using your personal information on the basis of your consent or because it is necessary to perform a contract with you.
10.2 You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, Tricer may charge a reasonable fee if a request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, Tricer may refuse to comply with a request in these circumstances.

10.4 Tricer may need to request specific information from you to help Tricer confirm identity and ensure you have the right to access personal data. This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. Tricer may also contact you for further information in relation to the request to speed up Tricers response.
10. 5 Tricer try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take Tricer longer than a month if Tricer request is particularly complex or Tricer have made a number of requests. In this case, Tricer will notify you and keep you updated.
